Emergent Reality Game
Okay so I've been annoying our Mistress of Prims ( you know "the talent") because everytime she say "arggh" - I give her an update on the latest news on ARGs. But what if she start saying "erg " instead?
Yes, besides ARG (Alternate Reality Game) and AR (agumented reality) we may be gettting the acronym ERG. This one is not my fault. It's actually coming from Coral Cross http://coralcross.org/about.html - a former alternate reality game turned emergent reality game.
So we may have to re-evalute. Less than a month ago - we did a protoype for an Augmented Reality simulation. Beth played a economic developer, our mistress of prims - a research librarian, Chris - well.....you know will work for pizza and we called this AR "Setting the Table." It has players using GPS, geolocation apps and of course the library. But it was built for business students and small business owners to learn more about conduct market intelligence and utilizing market research in weak economy. So does that make us a ERG too? Or maybe an augmented ERG?
