Yes, I have been warned about disruptive students. Most of them were bored because stand and deliver type instruction did not work for them. I found that they did well with group and hands on activities during class. I also found that some students responded better by occasionally getting them to move around for a class project / presentation. I found that movement during classes works very well for bored student athletes. :-)

Your comment does make me wonder. Is that kid with ADD really ADD, or are they just bored? Would variations in instructional deliver change their behavior?
